Subscription fees for The Mountain Club for 2026 are:

​​The fees are same as 2025 but with the added option of quarter year to bring in-line with the BMC fees.  There is a  £5 discount if paying before 31 Dec 2025.  All fees expire on the 31st Dec each year regardless of when you paid the fee.

These fees include club membership of the BMC (British Mountaineering Council) which is the representative body for climbers, mountaineers and hillwalkers. Through membership you will be supporting the work of the BMC in all aspects of the sport including the fields of access and conservation, climbing wall development, technical evaluation, training and international liaison. The Mountain Club members benefit from:

• £10,000,000 personal liability insurance world wide.

• Summit magazine annually. (now digitally)

• The club can make use of other affiliated club huts.

• Reduced annual subscription to a number of outdoor magazines.
